No, but we do help our friends in peril.
we’re in peril...
and we’re financially broke...
we can’t afford to spend money we don’t have...
try this same technique with your household and see what happens...
You have a keen sense of the obvious.
There are a whole lot of things we can cut spending on before we leave the tiny state of Israel at the mercy of virtually the entire middle east.
What is your true reason for siding with the muslim loving democRats on this issue?
i’m not siding with the muslim loving demonrats...
and i agree there’s numerous areas we can eliminate spending on...
all i’m trying to do is get people to understand we can’t continue to spend money we don’t have...
it doesn’t matter how small you think the spending is...
it all adds up to the fact we’re in debt and we can’t afford to continue on this path...
Israel also has a generous socialist system, with free college and universal health care.
Israel obviously has the money to fund Iron Dome themselves. Its security is in no way threatened by having to pay for it themselves. They can afford it.
Trump forced our other allies to pay more for their own defense -- American First -- and conservatives (including myself) cheered. Why should Israel be the exception?
Israel is not in peril. It has the money, many times over. See my post 45.
FATHER GOD,
Remove America’s illegitimate leaders from power and seat those who won the 2020 election.
The majority of Americans support the nation of Israel. Do not judge us by the Democrat Party’s apparent disdain towards the Jewish people.
In JESUS NAME we pray. AMEN.
Yet we can fund every third world crap-hole for some of the most mundane and wasteful things. More antisemitism on display.
It's not either/or. Besides which, per capita, Israel gets the lion's share of American foreign aid.
But again, it's not either/or. ALL foreign aid must end. America First.
“Israel is not in peril.”
Clueless. Deaf and blind.
It's a nuclear power. Apart from its air force and missels, it has six nuclear-armed submarines, capable of a second strike.
It's also extremely wealthy, home to many billionaires, and boasting an extensive and lucrative high-tech sector, cyber-warriors, and its own military industrial complex.
Israel is more powerful than all the Arab world combined.
How is it in peril? Terrorists are a problem, but they are not an "existential threat." Israel can handle it, and afford the pricetag.
I wish our side would fight dirty like this when we have power. Everyone knows the dems do this and they give it tacit approval by doing nothing about it.
Thank you, Ms. Omar.
As was posted in the comments at the link:
“During the Israeli–Egyptian War of Attrition, Israeli commandos captured a Soviet-built P-12 radar station in an operation code-named Rooster 53. Previously unknown information was subsequently shared with the US.
When the French government imposed an arms embargo on Israel in 1967, Israeli spies procured designs of the Dassault Mirage 5 from a Swiss Jewish engineer in order to build the IAI Kfir. These designs were also shared with the United States.
In 1966, when defecting Iraqi pilot Munir Redfa landed in Israel flying a Soviet-built MiG-21 fighter jet, information on the plane was immediately shared with the United States.
Israeli–US tension eased after the start of the Persian Gulf war on January 16, 1991, when Israel became a target of Iraqi Scud missiles, suffering over 30 strikes during the war. The United States urged Israel not to retaliate against Iraq for the attacks because it was believed that Iraq wanted to draw Israel into the conflict and force other coalition members, Egypt and Syria in particular, to quit the coalition and join Iraq in a war against Israel. Israel did not retaliate, and gained praise for its restraint.
In May 2018, President Trump withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear deal a few days after Netanyahu gave a presentation in which he revealed documents that Mossad smuggled out of Tehran, purportedly showing that Iran lied about its nuclear program.[114] This was followed by a renewal of US sanctions on Iran.
Not everything has to be a war to be a valuable ally.”
"Procured"? You mean they stole the designs. The same way Jonathan Pollard stole U.S. secrets.
Still?
After Israel denied the Trump administration's request to monitor the now China run Port of Haifa to protect our fleet from China's spying eyes, didn't Israel rip up this "joint defense collaboration"?
Why should we continue to replace Israel's military supplies ---- expecially after this smack down from Israel?
Post 51 -—— well said.
Sounds like they had a lot of help.
That, of course, was what AOC et al. were all upset about./s
Don’t know the details about the Port of Haifa, although your allegations are very upsetting. But America and Israel continue to develop anti-missile capabilities together, and share the advances, and unless Israel is sharing that tech with China instead, it makes sense to help Israel with a mutually beneficial project. We got great scientists and engineers who can and do help America in this regard.
