Funny story—my wife’s brain dead sister who lives in the inner suburbs came to visit us in the deep boonies many years back....
We had the dog with us, and he took a big poop in the woods.
She said “where is your pooper scooper. You need to clean that up....”
We were laughing and laughing and laughing....
Finally I said to her “Bears and moose poop in those woods. We don’t clean that up either....”

My son lives in NY. For his birthday I gave him 1000 plastic shopping bags purchased from Amazon. He keeps the package in his car and takes several with him when he goes into the supermarket. He also has a dog so they are not single use. He says occasionally he gets “looks” when bagging.

Taxes are never the answer.
Governments inherently consume resources unproductively and require citizens to work more just to have the same … all of which comes at an additional cost in terms of wasted energy and resources … because the politicians and bureaucrats always eat first even when they aren’t corrupt.
