What part of state powers do you not understand? You think FL and TX are going to just hand over their sovereignty?

Btw, I think there are at least 27 states lined up now to fight this power grab.

New to the site, looks excellent. Sorry, but I’m not allowed to create a new topic yet I guess, but reading these and topics on the 10th Amendment, I wonder if you or anyone else can answer my question. I can probably guess the answer generally, but with respect to the Constitution’s enumerated powers, as I understand it, these limited list of powers are supposed to be a restriction upon Congress and what powers the Federal Government have authority over, yes? And then, the 10th Amendment is such that whatever powers not already established to the Federal Government, or restrictions existing placed upon the States are then all the purview of the States authority? (Or the people, not sure exactly what this means...referendum?) So how is it seemingly Congress and the Federal Government have endless authority and power over everything seemingly, in particular I’ve read articles discussing “Constitutional Crisis” in sweeping lists e.g. The War on Drugs is a Constitutional Crisis - Nowhere in the Constitution does it grant Congress the power to wage a “war on drugs” and the lists of unconstitutional insanity, such as a federal minimum wage and such, or even something like criminalizing drugs and alcohol, what the heck happened there, with Prohibition I read in order to begin this they were required to pass legislation to criminalize alcohol, which sounds like Congress just gave itself the power to do that, then when they ended Prohibition they had to abolish the previous legislation, but then, and forgive my ignnorance, but with all other illegal drugs all of these are just invented with the FDA or something, what the hell? Ahh, I really must read more into how drugs and alcohol laws are established (Not dying to learn specifically drug info) but other things like definitely not constitutional all the garbage of the “New Deal” socialism FDR managed to injected into the economy and law - I read that SCOTUS back then struck down parts of it but FDR the tyrant threatened to pack the court and so SCOTUS evidently chickened out, lovely, and then all the 3 letter Federal Agencies, FBI, CIA, BATF, DEA, EPA, NSA, etc. lastly the DHS, the horrid Patriot Act?! Five Eyes Nations ECHELON spying before that, LINK, Welfare, Social Security nowhere does the Constitution say the Federal Government has the power to create the SS tax scheme, rip off retirement savings plan, or that is force the citizen to buy into it, or they have no power to force people to buy Affordable Care Act insurrance? How about all the myriad other taxes they’ve simply invented? Many more..

Aren’t ALL of these the purview of the State rights in the 10th Amendment? As legistlation which doesn’t even exist largely?

I read a long while back something specifically around one small authoring the Framers gave Congress in which to make alterations, something like as time and future needs evolve, the need to expand existing...whatever.

I thought Congress couldn’t just abolish the Bill of Rights, like do away with 2A, only alter them? Although with 2A its also infuriating with at least the language being so unequivical, “Shall Not Be Infringed” I guess to congress and apparently SCOTUS as well, “Unless you feel like infringing” as I was reading some 2A case history some Justice quoted as saying this does not mean, “Unlimited” huh?! How the bloody hell could it possibly be worded more specific, and in meaning, so open ended to not literally be just that, Unlimited! After re-reading the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence, tons of Thomas Jefferson’s writtings, the state precedent used for the Militia parts to included hunting & self defense, and finally a history on mankind and earliest times attitudes about expecting every citizen of some many civilizations to remain well armed, I watched again a video clip discussion between Diane Feinstien and Ted Cruz where she said very dramatically something like (For the citizen) “Do they need bazookas?! Do they need a tank?!” and especially after considering Thomas Jefferson’s perspective, what with authoring the Declaration of Independence, the answer to her question seemed to me YES, by the 2A language and intent of the founders that thats precisely the point so as to be capable of casting off despotism, or for us I guess is something far, far worse, a global Marxist Coup. but...

Anyway, is this I’m guessing mostly the failure of the supreme court and separation of powers? What I read of “Judicial Review” was basically a farce. Abandonment of duty. Judicial activist with Roe v. Wade & SCOTUS disenfranchising millions of state referendum voters Federally establishing the right of gays to marry... oh and the 14th Amendment seems to arbitrarily be interpreted from nothing to protect everything (If its ideologically desired) And the Judicial Oath seems today about as honored as the Hippocratic Oath, or Congresses and US Military personnel and how important the oath to defend and protect the constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.

I’ve read a few times the Enumerated Powers and for awhile not been clear oh how so many things Congress seems to just decide, yeah we’ll empower ourselves with this I think...

Power grabs by the Fed, while a total dereliction of duty by SCOTUS? Or corruption,,,? Why don’t the States sue on the 10th Amendment? Or freak out whatsoever? I’ve never seen personally any of them going to noticeable extremes to reclaim sovereign state power. And it seems backwards. Federal GOV limitless power\authority, states practically nothing. Despite what I thought, the Fed supposed to be chained the Enumerated Powers - small role, and States having unlimited nearly legislative powers, state citizen referendum and I had READ the local goverment the most power of all, superseding rhe state on some levels.

Why hasn’t anyone ever done anything? Nullification? Judicial Review? This system must be BS and just corrupt to the core. Any perspective appreciated.
