So, it was a little slip. At least they surely saved the LGBTQ flag and burned all the Stars and Stripes so there is that.

Two decades in the Air Force, and three years of that as a plans NCO. There are literally thousands of plans down on the books for a military organization or embassy situation, and you go by the plan X, when such-and-such event occurs. I look at the embassy and at least they had a plan (something Biden never imagined).

“ We are going to have to take people without passports and vet them in other ways, like with their phone numbers for example.”

Those were probably the “good afghans”.

We are not getting their best.

I expect there will be one more communication from the State Department types in the airport hangar:

“If/when you have telephone/Internet access please notify next of kin you have decided to commit suicide by chopping your head off. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.”

Why are we evacuating their citizens before ours?

Apparently in 2009 the new ID cards required people identify their religion (yeah, what could possibly go wrong.). Some of those passports may have belonged to Christians>

Per Dan Bongino yesterday, a big disaster is that the Taliban has been able to get the ‘bio metric’ data for everyone who has worked for/helped the US - names, addresses, fingerprints, etc.

Is Bongino PRESUMING there was that sort of data? And that anyone bothered to preserve it, much less keep it safe?

Pretty big assumption, that.

Here ‘ya go .....

Taliban reportedly seize biometrics devices used by US military
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3986455/posts

The Taliban have reportedly seized biometrics devices used by the US military that could help identify Afghan nationals who worked for the US government and aided coalition forces, raising concerns the Taliban could use the information to retaliate in the wake of the collapse of the US-backed government.

The devices, known as HIIDE, for Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment, were seized last week as the Taliban went on an offensive march to overtake Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital, sources tell The Intercept. Information stored on the devices include iris scans, fingerprints and biographical information, the news outlet reported Tuesday. They can also reportedly be used to access a broad centralized database.

Meh. Doesn’t mean much if the ‘centralized database’ is MIA or otherwise disrupted. Or it’s in the clear in some cloud location and no one is paying any attention to it. Who knows?
