Here is what I see as the takeaway from what I’ve read briefly in terart’s posts .... tragically, it appears she could not find “early outpatient” care from a doctor & ended up in the hospital ... a situation you want to avoid if at all possible.

Total failure of leadership. Milley should resign along with Bill Burns of the CIA. The issue isn’t whether we should withdraw or not, it is how the withdrawal was executed. Piss-poor planning and bad intel. Biden announced the withdrawal four months ago. Why do we have so many people to evacuate? Sending in force protection troops to cover the evacuation is an admission of failure.

Same here. Great to connect again. Planning another group trip for next year and more than likely do some solo stuff now that things are trending very well on health side.
Mixed bag of bottom fish by the group. Cut the trip short by a day so those on boats could make the long trip back safely to avoid the storm.
