Where was the air cover to stop the Taliban’s march to take over?
Same place the air cover was to stop ISIS in Iraq. The convoys going across the desert were observed - nothing done. The build up / staging areas outside the cities where they were preparing their invasions were viewed - nothing done. Likely the similar thing was done in Afghanistan...just watching the Taliban troops march when they could have been stopped in their tracks.
Biden was behind both of these debacles - and he said back in 2009 that it was foolish to believe something like that would happen in Iraq...then when it did happen, did nothing to stop it at a stage when it would have been easy without allowing a single city to fall.
As has been said before, Biden has been wrong about every major foreign policy position he has taken throughout his entire political career - with disastrous consequences.
A phased pullout has turned into a debacle because the Taliban know what would have happened if they’d crossed Trump and they know equally well that nothing will by crossing Biden. The Dems want this to just go away so they can get back to “transforming” America into...well, it looks like into Afghanistan, doesn’t it?
