Oh the fun... I literally had to sleep in my car 2 nights at my work because I couldn't get enough gas for the drive home. I lived 30 miles away so the daily round trip was 60 miles. The lines for gas were 3 & 4 blocks long and then limited to 10 gallons (if they weren't already sold out). I just couldn't do it.
Worse than that. Biden shutdown all new drilling on federal lands.
Gas shortages.....
A terrible thing for us all back then.
And for the current American people to approve of the idiot they elected and their Dem House and Senate is an outrage and unforgivable.
I know the polls are wrong but they are close enough, IMHO, to know that half the people think the Dems are just fine. So they are ushering in wild inflation and new shortages of gas and other items for us.

And someone needs to explain that gas price surges are mainly a result of congestion at the refineries. But he’s a Democrat and it would just fly over his head.
I worked for a rent car company in the summers of ‘78 and ‘79. My job was to sit in gas lines all day fueling up the rent cars. 7AM to 7PM at $2.60/hour.
COVID caused a sharp reduction in oil consumption worldwide. Trump rightfully pushed for reduced oil production globally to increase the price of oil. What’s wrong with wanting to protect American oil producers who are competing against government owned oil producers from foreign countries? America first.

OPEC just agreed to increase. So what happened
in 6 months after oil independence. This is BS.
