Supply is out there. I went to my local gun shop last week and they had plenty. Price however is sky high.
And how much was left after your visit?
At least people are staying away from the gun range that I belong to because they are having too much fun fawning over their stash of ammo rather than using it.
Gee, looks like the 100 bricks of 22’s I have, has some Value?
It’s definitely getting better.
We have had pallets of 9mm and 5.56 out all week with no limit. Price is still high, $24.99 a box of 50 for 9mm and $125 for 200 round boxes of 5.56.
Same here. Shelves are full of everything, but prices are still jacked up.
Reloading supplies are a little better too.
But I have not yet seen primers for sale anywhere.
What you have, is what you have.
I did buy a new rifle this week. Had considered building an A10 format semi auto, but was concerned about reliability of components. (other than Armalite)
So did a little research and found a very reasonable and highly reviewed Savage .308 bolt action rifle. Picked it up yesterday.
I still don’t own a semi-automatic rifle. The ones I have seen except for the M1A don’t look like rifles.
Yep. Ammo to go sent me an email yesterday. Winchester .223 for about 79 cent a rd. If you buy bulk.
Steel jacket tulammo for 59 cent a rd.
Wouldn’t run steel jacket through my AR though
I have found higher, but not crazy, pricing online through a couple of the search engines but better from Federal direct (federalpremium.com).
More recently I have seen a couple of short-lived (quickly sold) batches of 9 at $13/box ($0.26/rd).
Should take about 3 months for prices to start coming down.
I saw the same Winchester 333 on the shelf at Academy yesterday when I picked up the new rifle.
I just scored some small rifle primers but I still can’t find any powder.
Just an aside, do you remember earlier this summer there was a story about a Mexican cartel stealing a whole truckload of .22 LR which was to be exported to the US?
Then get a M1A. Or a Browning BAR.
At my local Wall-Mart in Indiana - they removed all BB guns and BB’s - No guns or ammo at all - the gun and ammo cases have been removed.
the shelves have been refilled with Yeti coolers.
We are a false flag, wave of mostly peaceful protests, or big ATF power grab away from the supply being worse than ever.
.22 lr is the most abundant in my home. I will never run out. Never.
You mean executions of death row can now continue, huh?
