Why should we lift the sanctions against Cuba. The Cubans can trade with anybody else in the world including Russia, China and all of Europe. What could they possibly want from us evil imperialists ??? They are a basket case because they rely on charity, first from the Soviet Union and later from Venezuela. Their crappy socialist economy produces almost nothing anybody else wants or needs. You can only get so much economic traction from exporting sugar and cigars.

I don’t know. If it is not satire JFK, yes a trade union supporter but fiercely anti-communist, is rolling in his grave. Matter of fact a trade unionist made the argument that the labor movement saved the west. Given the excesses of robber barons this is a logical argument. But in the end we were all still American, British, French, German, etc. We weren’t going to bow to communism.
Sad to see the Democrats revert from Truman and JFK to John C. Calhoun (an ardent advocate of slavery, regardless of race). At least for a while the party out of power was the loyal opposition. Not anymore.
As far as I know the rest of the world trades with Cuba, but the U.S. is blamed for their woes. Let the Dems donate from their own individual pockets to help them. Yeah, that’ll happen.

This is a claim that has been made by the Democratic Socialists of America’s International Committee... “We stand with the Cuban people as they bravely assert their fundamental and universal rights, and as they all call for freedom and relief from the tragic grip of the pandemic and from the decades of repression and economic suffering,” Biden’s Twitter statement on Monday said. But White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted in a press conference it was not even personally issued by Biden.
The Deep State is alive and well, and that's odd, because it is neither Deep nor a State.
