This is bad politics by Rubio. He should have waited for the news cycle tomorrow. Now the story is going to be about Republicans pouncing when it should be focused on Cuba.

While I completely agree with Rubio in this instance Rubio like far too many elected officials of Latino background have a very bad habit of voting for their ethnic background and NOT the US Constitution or Conservatism. The Prime Example is his neverending advocacy for Amnesty for Illegal Aliens.
You know Biden’s not going to make a statement other than some flunky saying “We’re closely monitoring the situation.” I don’t think even Trump would have said anything. These protests broke out late Sunday. It was better to wait for tomorrow when the news kick in and see Biden’s reaction.
Ohhhh I think Trump would have said something. Something HUGE! And he would have probably pointed out that Cuba has 3500 miles of amazing beaches compared to California’s 840 miles of just OK beaches.
I can see him saying how wealthy Cuba will be when communism is gone and they are THE Caribbean ‘it’ destination.
