Damn. Spies should be hanged, not shot. However, even with that minor gaffe on your part, you’d be my first choice as defense minister in sergeantdave’s royal kingdom. I’d grant you 10 divisions and three air wings to go make trouble in Brussels.
Unlike the Romance languages, all derived from Latin, where there's at least some similarity in the grammar.
That’s my experience with learning Polish, I had taken Russian in college so really it wasn’t hard to learn another slavic language.
I gained the ability to understand basic Polish, and I find that I can read other languages like Czech or Slovak and at least get a basic understanding.

Yes, respect & tolerance are at the core of the Eu, but the meaning of that has apparently changed to what they WANT to respect & tolerate. Those who may be on the fence with the EU had better consider that the EU’s “core beliefs” may change again & again in the coming years & judge accordingly. Our Constitution in the USA was considered on the basis of God’s Law, but now the politicians are constantly trying to point out things that are really not in it or change the things that are in it & doing it in a manner not prescribed in law. Hungary is apparently running into the same problems.
