Show me in the Constitution that you have freedom of speech unless somebody threatens to burn down your restaurant.

The government's not stopping anyone from speaking.

He's completely free to speak, but not necessarily free of consequences from that speech.

If burning a flag is 'speech', then so is hanging a sign in a restaurant that you occupy and operate.

That's the trouble with so-called 'conservatives'. They quibble, parse, and justify away our rights until the derps have their boots on our neck.

All in an effort to virtue signal and appear intelligent.

Gibberish.

You're gibberish.

The Constitution certainly IS gibberish in the hands of somebody like you (and the rest of the derps).

And coffee guy has the right to have his lease not renewed if he uses the property in a way not consented to by the owners - so there you go.

Hanging a sign is not 'using the property'.

The derp certainly has the right not to renew a lease. Just not for that reason. George Washington would kick his ass.

Imagine the sign said 'Black Lives Matter'.

Right, and government can't make a law to prohibit either of those things.

They haven't here so no problem.

But a person can discriminate on the basis of political speech, amirite?

Make up some more stuff, Ruth Bader.

Yes, you're right. Ask Jim Robinson to confirm.

“Imagine the sign said ‘Black Lives Matter’.”

Yes, let’s - would you say the owner had the natural right to say ‘no controversial signs on my property’? I sure as Hell would.

“But a person can discriminate on the basis of political speech, amirite?”

FR does as written policy - and I do when I decline to invite leftists into my home.
