The oligarchs would be the heads of corporations and institutions as well as political elites. They add up to a very small part of the population. And it’s not that the oligarchs get together to decide everything. Much gets done by the different corporations and institutions on their own initiative with only a general sense of what’s required by the oligarchy as a whole.

Time for Pravda to call out the American MSM as lying leftist propagandists.

I can honestly say, I think Vladimir Putin would be a far more competent and less oppressive leader than what we have.

After all, Putin doesn’t really care so long as you don’t get involved in politics. He’s not going to ask you your pronouns, demand you call others by what they “identify” as, censor you from even discussing where the China virus came from and whether or not the last election was stolen. Nor does his regime fire people from their jobs, get their banks to drop them, get their apartments to throw them out etc etc for not slavishly following his latest cultural diktats.

In all of those ways, he’s LESS oppressive than the Wokeratti and resident Biden.

“For such people there's no difference between truth & lie — it's all a matter of what works or doesn't to accomplish their purposes. What they say will often somewhat reveal their purpose.”

Don't disagree.

The significant thing is what it says about us: having the reds tell the truth about our governance is now more damning than them telling a falsehood.

“He’s not going to ask you your pronouns, demand you call others by what they “identify” as . . .”

Went to a new doctor just today; I didn’t fill in the blanks about my race and ethnicity thinking those lines were optional. I was challenged and checked the right blocks because I didn’t want to get into a confrontation with medical staff coming out of the gate.

I was hotter than a nanny goat in a pepper patch and started to say, “I didn’t ask the color of the doctor before coming here to do business.”

"America has become such a joke that Putin’s rule looks better by comparison"

Moronic statement.

Putin and Xi inspire our leaders and bureaucrats. They haven’t gotten to that level yet, but they are working on it.

Solzhenitsyn tried to warn us. That one day the Soviet Union would collapse, but the West would adopt Communism.

I can honestly say, I think Vladimir Putin would be... less oppressive leader than what we have.

That is probably the stupidest statement I have ever seen. There is NO freedom of speech in Russia, there is NO freedom of assembly and NO freedom of religion. All instituted by Putin. So why you would think Putin would be "less oppressive" is bizarre.

Law on "disrespect for authorities"

In 2019 Russia introduced new regulation commonly called "fake news law" which criminalizes publications containing "unreliable" information as well as opinions that show "disrespect for society, government, state symbols, the constitution and government institutions".

“Beware the fury of a patient man,” is a line from Absalom and Achitophel (1681) by the English poet John Dryden.

... or 150 Million patient men and women, well armed, and watching as their enemies expose themselves and their evil, day by day.

When the humans start fighting back, it will go quickly.
