What’s amazing is that Lightfoot ran as the more moderate candidate for Mayor. Her opponent was a full-blown Marxist who probably would have done more damage to the city than Lightfoot has already done.

Don’t forget the Puerto Rican couple who were pulled from their car and assassinated. That was no criminal on criminal.

That is why I said most, not all. Innocents always get hurt when the criminal elements are not afraid of brutal retaliation.
But most of of the violence in Chicago is criminals killing criminals over crime.
I am trying to put my head around how Chicago can put up with so many deaths. My conclusion is that it is mostly black on black crime. Since progressives are trying hard to make all minorities exempt from being treated as criminals when they commit crimes, even violent crimes, the thought pattern must be that most (except when police do the shooting) of the shootings are not crimes and therefore nothing should be done.
We now seem to be entering an era when it depends on your ethnic, racial, or gender status that determines if you have committed a crime or not, not your actions.
That is true and I recognize you said most. But that situation was to horrible for me not to mention.
I also think it will have repercussions for that community in Chicago. There are too many people there who will take that as a matter of honor, not just being disrespected.
Chicago voted for Lezzie Leadfood and her government.
Their city government openly conspires with gangs.
So yeah, the situation in Chicago is horrible. And they deserve it.

small crimes, lead to big crimes. Not being held accountable for the small things, emboldens some to do bigger things. Toss that in with Sen Moynihan’s stance on defining deviance down and you have a big problem.
