Why is the State of Texas indoctrinating their State Guard in Critical Marxist Theory?
Why did the Generals decide to indoctrinate the State Guard?
Wait until we see what the new recruits replacing the ones who quit at the Portland police dept look like as well.
The Guardsman should notify the tough talking governor and challenge him to do something about it.
This guy at West Point wasn’t the only one. His buddy took the photos.
>>Are they trying to purge patriots?
“How dare you question their loyalty, sir!”
< /sarc, that was the Communist cry when they were doing this in the 40s and 50s >
So is the crap being taught to the Texas State Guard. It is "we'll know extremism when we see it" vague.
He gone. Loserman.
.....”The Texas State Guard (TXSG) is not an armed force, nor does it have any law enforcement authority.”
The TXSG should not be confused with the Texas Army National Guard or the Texas Air National Guard.....most state, if I recall, do have “state guard” organization, but they are more of militias than National Guard organization, if I am correct....I don’t believe the Texas State Guard could be called to Active Duty as the TxARNG or the TxANG could....
That's what Dallas Morning news wrote. They wanted Abbott to veto the bill, which eplicitly attacks the "1619 Project."
I understand the difference between the Army National Guard, Air National Guard and State Guard in the states. I served 6 years in the Air National Guard in my state, a long time ago as part of my reservist career. Twice in my 20 years we got called up, albeit for a short time. Could have been much longer. I certainly would have followed the callup orders, though I was glad not to have been activated.
I am just surprised this marxist indoctrination has infiltrated the State Guard in a red state. What next? Block captains in every neighborhood?
This must be squelched.
Good, now he needs to stop this crap in the state national guard. He is going to need them to stand with Texas in the near future.
We need to call Abbott’s office to make that clear. I hope we can can get though. The virus makes government workers lazier than normal.
I doubt that the Texas ARNG made the decision on its own.
It most likely it came to them as an order by the National Guard Bureau in Washington, DC. Remember the National Guard Bureau is part of the Department of Defense, thus must follow the orders dictated by SecDef Austin.
OR there are corrupt leftist officers in the Texas ARNG who believe in following the current purge of conservative and believers in the Constitution from the military
The so-called officers who are pushing this crap should be fragged.
This story is about the Texas State Guard. The Texas State Guard reports directly to Governor Abbott. It is more like a state militia.
OK!
See your point... 🙃
National Guard have (figuratively speaking) two hats: State Militia and United States Armed Forces. The Governor may call them into state active duty, and while so serving they wear their State Militia hat. The President may call them into federal service, and while there wear their United States Armed Forces hat, and they are a part of the United States Armed Forces, just like regular duty Army/Air Force, and not State Militia in federal service. There is copious federal law authoring all of that.
State Guards have only a State Militia hat. The Constitution authorizes the President to call the State Militia into federal service, but only for the limited purposes of repelling invasions, suppressing insurrections, and enforcing the laws of the United States. I do not believe State Militias have been called into federal service since FDR called out the Alaskan and Hawaiian Territorial Militias to repel invasion in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor.
At present I do not believe there is any federal legislation providing for paying, equipping or disciplining State Militia if they should be called into federal service. But the President's authority under the Constitution remains.
The "two hats" system dates back to the aftermath of the Spanish American War. President McKinley called many State Militia units into federal service. The Army was very much concerned that the States would tell McKinley to pound sand, as it was obvious that their troops would not be used to repel invasion, suppress insurrection or enforce the laws of the United States. They turned out, but the Army wanted both more and better troops available in future wars, and to not have to rely on state officials to get them. Congress was not interested in either lavishing money on State Militias, or creating a large Army reserve. Hence the hybrid State Militia member AND U.S. Army member system was created.
