Yep, but I really can’t blame him, GH ran second to Reagan in the primaries in 1980 and Reagan wanted to win and get Carter out, but Reagan would have won anyway even if he picked a fish as his running mate, Carter was just too much of a massive F up. But yep, he absolutely screwed up again not dumping GH in 1984, I assume because he was naive about the Bush crime family and was distracted by the Marxists harassing him about the Contras. It just goes to show how one small decision as POTUS can have massive repercussions for decades.
