Quite a few years ago the women’s basketball coach at Penn State University, Rene Portland, would not allow gays on our team. Her team and their parents loved the idea of having one team like that. But they canned her and her idea, sending a message to all the coaches.
Later we hear about all the stuff with Jerry Sandusky.
Standing up for what’s right is a good thing.
My theory is that she tried very hard to get along with the coach...Maybe she liked being at Oklahoma and did not really want to transfer again...She transferred to Oklahoma from Oregon State...At this time, she is at her third school...Ole Miss...
