Just remember, you can vote yourself into Socialism or Marxism, but you’ll have to shoot your way out of it.

This all started when Trump had massive rallies touting his great economy. EVERYTHING done in the last 18 months has been about hurting America so the communists can take control.

BLOAT!

“Those businesses need to PAY MORE”

Part of the plan is a backdoor to a higher minimum wage. They can force higher wages by subsidizing non work benefits.

I think what is coming is a huge wage downgrade for many. When the government hand outs expire there will be a glut of people looking for work. A huge percentage of small businesses have gone under, reducing the total number of available jobs. When the unemployment dollars stop there will be a large number expecting to just go back to work only to find that where they used to work is no longer there. It will become an employers buyers market and wages are going to retreat, with many finding that the new employer has a long list of applicants to choose from so wages will go down.

I mean, they’re either dumb or evil, right?

With liberals, all liberals, it's not an "either/or" proposition.

Poor babies can’t pay a living wage and decent benefits - screw ‘em. We’re better off without any cheap A-holes who don’t pay every employee enough to feed and house their family.

Thank you.

My observations, too.

The people getting hurt are the big corporations that depend on very low wage part timers without benefits.

Never trust any entity where the top person doesn’t know the lowest person’s name and family members.

Where I live, you ain’t getting anything but a thieving crackhead for less than $22 an hour with full bennies, unless you’re very lucky and have a GREAT place to work.

From my perspective, the employers who are having the most difficult time hiring staff aren’t small businesses, but large companies in industries that rely on entry-level labor (restaurant chains, grocery stores, retail giants, etc.). In my circle of business contacts, the small businesses that are run as family-owned establishments and hire few employees outside the family have been thriving since the COVID fiasco began.

Uh, no.

I own a literal Mom and Pop imprinted and embroidered apparel company. A t-shirt shop. Restrictions imposed by our Governor have decreased our business by over 40%, but things are slowly picking up. We have simple, no skill, jobs that we cannot find people to fill.

You tell me...in the past we have hired high school and college aged kids to work part time. The job entails folding and packing shirts and then calling the customer to let them know their order is complete. Maybe run the vacuum cleaner in the showroom, take the trash to the dumpster. How much do YOU think this job is worth? Oh, since location matters, this is Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
