according to this article, young people in Japan are being hit harder and longer with the 'British variant'. I don't think England had an issue so much with their own younger people? This is Japan's fourth wave.
Where are the vaccines?
England spaced out their 1st & 2nd shots 12 weeks apart in order to increase the number of people vaccinated. Seems to be working for them, plus the immune response appears to be greater when the vaccine doses are 12 weeks apart.
>> young people in Japan are being hit harder and longer
Are they surviving?
Why is the vax the go-to response when the young are incredibly resilient to SARS?
Can’t we send them the ventilators Andrew Cuomo was crying about last year and didn’t need?
Only 4.4% of Japanese are vaccimated. by far the lowest among industrialized nations. Must be by choice.
And no one is dying. It's the same "CASES!!!" propaganda they threw at us in Jan/Feb here.
They should look to the Ivermectin Global Summit, for advice on preventative and treatment use....
Ivermectin for prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Remember when we were told that masks work, and that’s why Japan was doing so much better than the U.S.?
Excuse me if I don’t believe a word of this.
Is the propaganda causing healthy people to fill the hospitals, consume the critical drugs and occupy all the ventilators? Or is it people with Covid 19?
the article didn’t give a breakdown on demographics other than 1 in 7 “serious” admissions aren’t surviving hospitalization (20/140). I don’t think that’s good. (but, caveat, the article also says med staff are pulling upwards of 100=500hrs overtime for the year, and exhausted staff can make for mistakes which could contribute to mortality rate, God love them.)
Reading the article, the problem is a lack of preparation. Osaka, with 9M residents had only 348 Beds reserved patients with serious viral infections. They should have reserved 2,000 beds. The actual numbers are not bad when measured against their population, but as we have seen, they can grow very quickly.
Appreciate that, blueplum!
Japan - which is #92 in alleged covid deaths per million - is the new India, which is #78 in alleged covid deaths per million.

these are the only figures worth noting.
cases are meaningless.
get over covid.
They were saying this here “on the verge of collapse”.
So what exactly happens when a hospital or medical system collapses? Do the walls fall in or something? Does the collapsing hospital pop like a balloon? I’m just wondering “along with everyone else who has a lick of common sense” what does a hospital collapse looks like?
How are those Olympic preparations coming along?
SARS is real, and it’s certainly contagious. But the politics and financial opportunism hindered the availability of solid data that should have otherwise been forthcoming. Sad.
>> Remember when we were told that masks work
Yup. It also took too long to realize that blowing out the lungs wasn’t a viable approach.
it’s just the flue bro.
