Perhaps I am sanctimonious. I used to be one that would line up at the drive-thru and order fast food. I’ve discovered a better way and don’t mind telling others about it.
$1000 including or excluding gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, insurance, etc?

That was gross (not factoring the the gas and wear and tear) and I was driving illegally (per Progressive) as I didn’t have their delivery driver insurance.
A McDonalds job is to show a stable work history, while you are educating yourself for something better.
If you are still doing an entry-level job after 11 years, that is a bad sign.

Not getting dressed early to drive to McDo (of any where else) to eat their slop or pay a delivery service which is more than the cost of the meal.
Having being forced to live in an AirBNB, each resident only gets allotted a 1/2 hour in the evening to cook, eat and clean up and a tiny refrigerator shelf to store everything. So I get lots of the nasty frozen microwave dinners to eat.
I’m doing great with it, I don’t need to try again. My bills are being paid, I’m having fun doing it. If it’s not for you, I respect that. I promise you don’t have to do it. It does work for me, though.

I've always felt that yogurt looks better than it tastes, but it tastes better than it sounds.
My insurance company very specifically mentions the insurance I’m opting out of that covers food delivery/gypsy cab stuff (so I’d have to tell them, and they’d charge extra as they see fit).
I think there is a reason it is mostly foreigners doing it in my area; nobody else would have the time to park along the perimeter of Newark airport waiting for rides. They’ll work long hours for peanuts - one of the reasons they were trafficked here.
OK - I’ll take your word for it. Did you tell your insurance company?
They will just get a second part time job at another joint.
Assumptions:
A fast-food restaurant could typically run labor costs around 25% while a full service restaurant could run about 30-40% of revenue depending on how up scale the bar or restaurant is and the demand needed. In order to determine what your restaurant is running at for labor costs you will need to calculate labor costs as a percentage.
So labor is now 25%. Lets increase labor by 50%.
THE MATH
Before: 25% (labor) + 75%(other expenses) = 100% of production costs
After 50% increase in wages (18% nominal increase in production) 38%(labor) + 75% = 118%.
Now normalize to 100%:
38% X ---- = ---- 118% 100%
Solving for X:
X = 3800/118 = 32%
Bottom line:
So increasing wages by 50% increases the production cost 7%.
Before a meal cost $5.00. After it is now $5.35 -- if passed on to the end consumer.
WHILE IT IS AN INCREASE IT IS A VERY SMALL INCREASE.

That delivery driver add-on adds $100 to $300 per month, based on insurers I looked up online….
Your insurance company will not cover you if your get into an accident if they find out you are delivering. Willing to talk that chance with an uninsured motorist?
I know that.
But good analysis. But worthless. The very same Freepers that refer to the unemployed as moochers want to eliminate the minimum wage and unemployment insurance in their entirety.
McDonald’s needs its wage slaves, after all
Of course.
No offense intended - just wanted to know what was being calculated in your expenses. I’m genuinely happy it is lucrative for you!
You do have to have a non gas guzzler and a car you don’t mind adding mileage to, but with those two elements in place it’s not only a lot of fun, it is, indeed, lucrative.
