Publix has joined.
It is good that America gets back to normal.
If the corona virus is still among us, we will soon see if the numbers start increasing as stores stop masking their customers and people go back to interacting with others.
Besides pentup economic demand for people to buy stuff, there is also a pentup demand for people to go to parties and other events where there are a lot of people.

What real scientific evidence (like with experiments and tests and stuff, not B.S. computer models) is there that the masks made a difference?

Probably is none.

Costco near us has sign saying no masks if vax, and...they will not ask for proof

At this point, any business that insists on continuing a mask mandate will lose customers. I’m wondering what the policy at Aldi’s is. Their sister company Trader Joe’s is no longer requiring that customer’s wear masks.

Why would they worry if you aren’t vaxxed? The vaccinations are supposed to protect against the unvaxxed, so what difference does it make? They won’t ask, you are right.

I love these headlines because it means the mask mandate is really dropped for everyone. That’s the result, and why they avoided doing it before. It’s a backhanded way of saying we have gotten enough people to get vaccinated.

I heard last week that Target was going to still require them.
Saw that Walmart staff won’t be required to wear them but haven’t seen same regarding customers.
Trader Joe’s has been the maskiest and social distancing place of all of the grocers I have been to. Even last week there is still a masked waiting line to enter. Old habits will be hard for them to break. Maybe they can transition to wearing nuns’ habits.

They don’t want to ask. They know if they don’t do this they are going to start losing business - fast - to companies that do. They are just saying “fully vaccinated” to soothe the hysterical Karens.

They can’t. And that’s the point. They all know this is basically an end to the mandate period. It’s like when I entered store after store for the last year with a “masks required” sign, yet I didn’t bother to wear one and nobody said anything.
Same thing here. It’s just the “official” policy. The “rubber meets the road” policy is going to basically be “don’t ask, don’t tell”. And even if thy are strict, just wear a mask in, and then take it off. What are they going to do, spot check people inside the store? :D

Yep. When I was in texas last December, I was in a grocery store without a mask. An old lady stared at me and went to an employee to complain. He came up to me later and told me I needed to wear a mask.
That can’t happen now.

Publix asked customers to be honest, if you got the vaccine, but they can’t ask. Publix lets people be free...So is Wal-Mart...
