I wonder how much the costs of flying a SpaceX Falcon will skyrocket?

But he is against an electricity tax. No worries, Green New Deal will make electric power so expensive, as to make a Carbon tax affordable.

Regardless of the actual number, there are definitely large subsidies in place. Subsidies for private businesses skew the free market by breaking the normal supply and demand pricing model.

When there is a strategic concern around a particular market (e.g. oil and gas money going to Saudi Arabia who then sends some of it to terrorists intent on murdering us and blowing up our cities), I’m alright with putting a finger on the scale that serves America’s interests. But it’s a REAL hard sell to claim that the oil market is serving America’s interests when the people who control the vast majority of that resource are terrorist funding jihadists.

If we want to build home-grown clean, safe, reliable power, we should be making a massive strategic investment in latest generation nuclear power plants immediately. Within 5-10 years, we’d be able to supply all our own oil needs with domestic supplies for running anything non-electric and provide all the power needed to meet everyone’s needs without relying on a bunch of flaky solar and wind farms.

“Oil companies get subsidies. Don’t go attacking Tesla for asking equivalent of what other businesses get.”

Bogus argument:

Yes, just like Warren Buffett opposes pipelines because he owns railroads and defends inheritance taxes because he buys up family businesses at highway robbery prices when they can’t afford the tax. As always, follow the money.

“A carbon tax is a consumption tax. And it will be included in the price of just about everything that had energy input from the combustion of hydrocarbons. Therefore it also becomes a hidden tax, just the cost of doing business.”

THIS. It is not just a tax on his automobile competition.

Elon Musk makes 100’s of millions on trading carbon credits.
This is like Amazon bribing Pelosi to shutdown competitors.

As government subsidies start going away for buying electric vehicles, he starts spewing rhetoric about carbon taxes. He must not be selling as many cars to fund his carbon fuel-based rockets.

I don’t know, I never said they did. Yet you claimed oil companies receive subsidies. Can you tell me what those subsidies include?

You will take Elon’s brain chip.
You will pay Elon’s carbon taxes.
You will own nothing and be happy.

Total BS. Musk thinks crypto is about to take a dive and does not want to be accept a payment that could be worth 50% less when the car is delivered.

F-— you, Musk.

Go back to South Africa, or launch yourself into space, one way.

Musk is getting savaged and ripped apart by his customers - millennials - on social media and reddit.

Holding tesla stock right now is equivalent to sticking dynamite in your shorts. Speaking of shorts...

Hummmm, let me see here. Isn’t Tesla mostly / only profitable because they sell their carbon credits for millions / billions to other companies. Hummm and didn’t the company paying these billions of dollars to Tesla just announce they would no longer by the credits from Tesla, hummm?? Maybe I got that wrong???

They continue to talk about carbon tax when everyone should know there is a milage tax in your future because highways are funded with gasoline tax and they want to abolish gasoline. Insurance companies already audit your milage so there will be some way for them to get to you. Of course they could always just add a tax on to electric bills they don’t want us to use that either.

He isn’t stupid. If you can make the demon crates make you rich, go for it. They will make someone rich. Might as well be Elon.
