US OKs Pfizer/BioNTech COVID Vaccine for Children 12 to 15

I don't know where Pfizer put its press release on the kid study, but Moderna does a good job of documenting its trial information for the general public.

In that kind of trial, though, there will be participants taking the vaccine and others taking fake vaccinations (placebo group). The participants will then go about life like everyone else and be tested from time to time for infections, but the testing and lab work is more thorough than for everyone else for the purpose of being sure, measuring viral loads, etc. So yes, they'll document any cases that might happen in both the vaccinated and placebo groups.
