I can name at least five countries I had to show a yellow WHO vax card to enter. Gabon,Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Panama, Columbia,Nigeria as well. It’s very common to have to show the yellow card to enter tropical countries. Specifically yellow fever vaccinations.
I don’t cruise anymore - too much white trash, too many fat asses and too unsanitary. Nearly NONE have good food these days.
Now if you’re a some fkn loser who spends all his time running his face on Free Republic - like you - they’re probably still kinda fun.
only one on your list I visited was Colombia but never got a vax card and never was asked. Made it out safe too. Lucky I guess.
"Bake the darned cake", huh?
And you?
And you have every right to keep your records your secret and to stay ashore when the ship sets sail. So what's your problem?
Hear, hear, to your post, Bulwyf.
Amazing the ‘knee bending’ (disguised as “predictions” and suppositions) we’re seeing right here. :-(
And you have every right to keep your records your secret and to stay ashore when the ship sets sail. So what’s your problem?
If you’re NOT seeing the problem with this, DD, then.....therein lies the problem.
You think they’ll stop at this....w/cruise ships? This will only be the beginning.
When and where is it enough....this requiring to take their mark/shot, enough? At what point do you draw the line?
When have cruise ships EVER required shots for anything that is 99% survivable?
And I submit that you aren't seeing the real problem. What you want is for government to tell corporations who they have to deal with. We have anti-discrimination laws that tell Christian photographers they have to film same-sex weddings. You want to expand on that and have government identify even more people that companies have to provide services to. What is conservative about that?
Aren't you the good little big, intrusive government supporter?
I think the cruise ship should require that the Captain sodomize passengers as a pre-condition of their boarding. It would be less damaging than the vaccine. Free enterprise.
Then go for your preferred solution and have government mandate that. Problem solved.
And you seem to be missing the entire point, also not surprising. Get vaccinated or not, that's your right. I do not believe the government has, or should have, the power to require you to get the shot if you don't want to. But you want the government to force businesses to cater to your decision if they don't want to or don't feel safe doing so. You want the government to force businesses to take a risk impacting the viability of their corporate future. I don't think government should have that power. If cruise lines or air lines decide they want their passengers to be vaccinated then that's their choice. Don't like it? Don't use their services. Easy peasy.
No, I want businesses to not have the right to set conditions which enforce federal mandates and impinge upon personal freedoms.
Conservatives stopped private business from not allowing me to have my personal firearm in my locked vehicle. Now they need to stop them from dictating my immunity for the rest of my life.
Business is not being “made” to do anything except respect the integrity of my body. No vaccine pre-requisite, and no sodomy pre-requisite.
“Permanent change to my immune system....”
O-M-G!
It’s an outbreak of hysteria!
Do you realize that every cold and flu you’ve ever had has made a “permanent change” to your immune system by triggering it to create antibodies?
Like... the... vaccine.
“Like... the... vaccine.”
No, not like the vaccine. No thanks. You do you, and I’ll do me.
In the end, cruise companies will win IMO.
The same way De Santis can’t stop American Airlines from requiring vaccine for flights to certain countries (due to destination countries’ laws requiring vax or quarantine).
