You are correct about the supreme court ruling. I had forgot that even though I actually practice it.

Or dial 911 and toss the phone across the room. That way everything that happens is recorded and admissible in court. Including your wife screaming “get out I have a gun! Don’t come any closer or I’ll shoot!”
