One of the things that was factored into our military plans when we expected to fight the Russkis was their rigid command structure. The U.S. advantage was that if an enemy killed the major the captain took command. Kill the captain and the lieutenant took over. Kill the lieutenant and the sergeant stepped up. Kill the sergeant and the corporal gave orders. In the Soviet army individual initiative was discouraged, particularly among enlisted. Kill the leaders and you effectively killed the unit. Finding and killing those leaders was part of our military doctrine. Not sure how that works in the Chinese military but i suspect its similar.
China’s demographics limit the time they have to extend their influence. The one child policy resulted in a huge bulge of men over women. There are about 60 million Chinese men who will never be able to find a wife in China. A second factor is an ever icreasing number of old and nonproductive citizens. The U. S. economy is struggling with 3 workers to support each elderly citizen. China will find itself close to a 1 to 1 ratio in 10 to 20 years.

Sounds like a good example of China’s weaknesses on a tactical level, which is the level on which they will physically feel the pain of their defeat.

So to recap my point (one you were so interested in that you interrupted a conversation I was having with another poster): China’s inability to broadcast their crimes against humanity is a major weakness.
Hitler went on a fools errand thinking he could defeat Russia, the UK and US in a two front war in WWII, even with the Japanese menacing us in the Pacific. But he attacked anyway and we should have been prepared for it.
The only relevant issue is if the Chinese think they can take the US and its allies on, not whether they are right or wrong.
I worry about the feckless fool in the White House and the effing idiot who he has appointed SecDef who apparently thinks the most important threat to the US is Americans.
