Bama has probably produced more quality NFL offensive linemen than any other program.
Amazing talent but has to get it through his head that keeping the ball after just one scan downfield completely eliminates higher-yardage gains that a true 'second-look' QB like Brady capitalizes on.
Yet no one has sat him down and said, "No one questions your committment or your passion, but you are way out over your skis when you self-destruct these plays the way they are written, and you are too short to be picking up a rep as a 'bad-habit' quick-trigger guy. You will end up as a backup on a dead-end team with no plays specifically for you, including your option/running plays."
For most of RGIII’s first season, he looked like he was going to be a sure Hall of Famer, then he got hurt, and that was that.
Current quarterbacks like Jameis Winston, Patrick Mahomes, Dwayne Haskins are pocket passers, even though they are black.
Marcus Mariota, Tim Tebow, and Taysom Hill are rushing QBs, and are white.
Quarterbacks like Steve Young and Kyler Murray are both.
Josh Allen too. He is white.
I didn’t say anything about other positions, just QB. I think lately, they’ve been tops in receivers.
Don’t care, don’t watch
That will be what will happen normally because most don't need a QB.
Jones' QB ratings/numbers for 2020 were higher than Joe Burrows, the Heisman Trophy winner the previous year, 2019.
