This is still being reported in the news as the official figure. I've heard a lot of noise about deaths being under-reported, but I still haven't seen any solid, backed numbers for actual deaths in India. 200k is 1/3 of the deaths we've had in the US - and India has over 4 times the population of the US. Unless I see better proof, I'm going to keep believing that this is more COVID hysteria by the media.
