The weird thing is that it is demagoguery only with the dictator in hiding. You have the other elements present but people are not being presented with a concrete alternative so that we can examine it critically. Its like they are trying to avoid Nazism by employing all the the tactics of Nazis and sending all the Jews and Gypsies to the gas chambers but because they have Hitler in hiding and are instead relying on proxies they are trying to maintain a fiction that they aren’t actually Nazis.
