Out of 544,000 legal immigrants who apply for green cards each year, the Trump administration said 382,000 would be covered by the new rule and would have to submit forms showing their ability to support themselves.
So two thirds of legal immigrants coming into our country every year are taking advantage of taxpayer funded programs. Who knows how many illegal immigrants are accessing the same benefits. I thought immigrants were a plus to our country. Go figure.

it’s not a ‘trump rule’ it’s a US codified law under the Immigration Act of 1882 that stood unchallenged until recently.
