That's why the PGA is not joining in with MLB. Most professional sports have players who are mostly Leftists and that scares the crap out of those sports' owners. The owners are cowards and have allowed the players to be in charge.
Just here to remind and point out that the PGA does not own The Masters. Augusta National owns and runs the Masters Tournament as a private golf club. The PGA takes orders and follows their rules. Sportscasters have been banned from the match for not following rules.

Yeah, Tiger is the OTHER black golfer.
(insert pic of O’Bastard here)
“Woods is about the least woke top black athlete...”
Disagree. He has made his money and now enjoys the freedom of silence to things. But that’s not the way it has always been. Racial jokes in locker rooms are in all sports clear down into youth competitions. But they were just fun, not serious. And everyone was spotlighted. I can remember around St. Patrick’s day a few rubber snakes getting into lockers during a baseball season in 1967 at my high school for those of Irish decent. I got one.
But the pros, with their money and connections can take it to extremes...again not being nasty, just a little fun. And in some sports, like the rookie hazing in pro football, the can get crazy. But it’s not done in malice.
His destruction of Fuzzy Zoeller concerning a joke Fuzzy made after a Masters win by Woods that was assisted by Jesse Jackson after Woods laughed it off right after the comment but getting the call from Jackson went 180 the next day. He didn’t give Zoeller a break until a week later when he said he had “concluded that no personal animosity toward me was intended”, but that hardly meant the comment was forgotten.
But Woods’ 180 comments cost Zoeller financially in the form of several canceled sponsorship deals, and personally in the form of damage to his reputation. One example was Kmart cancelling his club and apparel contract. If Woods would have continued to laugh at it as he did right after it, it would have been no big deal.
In 2013 Sergio Garcia made the exact comment about Woods and hardly anyone knew about it.

2011 — Steve Williams
At the 2011 caddies awards party in Shanghai after Adam Scott won the Bridgestone Invitational, Steve Williams was asked about why he called the win the “greatest victory of his career.” He responded by saying he badly wanted to beat former employer, Woods. “I wanted to shove it up that black arsehole.” Woods and Williams eventually made amends.
Early in his career he was very racially aware and was being used to some extent for racial purposes. Earl Woods had made no secret of the fact that he expected his son to become the greatest golfer of all time, as well as forever change the game that had historically been considered a sport for upper-class white people. And Woods said on Oprah in 1997 that he could end up being bigger than all-time Majors winner Jack Nicklaus because of the impact he could have in the Black community.
Woods is just as much a part of the racial changing that happens all the time as the next man. I credit him for making the effort to stay out of it these days, but like I said, it wasn’t always that way.

OT...but Spieth has 2 stroke lead going to 18th.
Spieth splits fairway.
Hoffman misses to right into trees.
Looking like Jordan is FINALLY getting his first win since 2017 Open...and deserves it after his hard work.
There are a number of other prominent golfers “of color” nowadays, Tony Finau I believe has Polynesian ancestry, Harold Varner III is black, Cam Champ is identified as black although he looks fairly neutral, and there are several up and comers. I think the days of golf being a white preserve are well behind us nowadays, then there’s the Asian component which is considerable in men’s golf and almost dominant nowadays in women’s golf.
I would prefer to hear less nuanced statements, had I been the PGA commissioner I would have said, “The PGA Tour plans to continue all events in the great state of Georgia and takes no position on political controversies which are probably more complex than many in the media would have us believe. Voting rights are one issue, voting integrity is equally important.”
PGA move The Masters out of Augusta? Not going to happen.
Great news...
How about Notah Begay III who’s Native American, VJ Singh, Chi-Chi Rodriguez..
The Master's tees it up on Thursday.
There are a couple of others, Harold Varner and Cameron Champ. That is all I know of. Neither has accomplished much on tour yet although Champ is playing in The Master's.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
“None of the examples you cited come anywhere close to the kind of wokisms we are seek right now.”
So can I assume destroying another person because of a joke Woods later said was not insulting to him is okay? Jokes in locker rooms are prevalent at all levels and occur in very public areas, also.

And it isn’t just black jokes:
Woods even participates himself:

They’re everywhere and the point is they were supposed to be jokes. But they were made into clubs to beat someone under certain conditions and select people. And with Zoeller, Woods was a participant in making the club used...on purpose. And I feel for no reason if it didn’t insult him by his own admission. And it shouldn’t have taken a week for Woods to change his mind again while Zoeller was being hammered publicly and financially. Woods can read the paper and knew it was was happening and allowed it. For what reason? I think the thread answers that.

“like racist hatred like racist deranged lunatics like LeBron James.”
What I posted is possibly not all of it on Woods. It is only what I could find in print in an immediate look. My point is that he is being spotlighted by the media as this great man that has triumphed over racism and is the “so called” second coming when he is nothing more than a liar. He lied and punished his family, his profession, and his God.
His family:
““I’ve been through hell,” said the Swedish-born Nordegren, who began losing her hair in the days before the divorce became final. “It’s hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden - was it a lie? You’re struggling because it wasn’t real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn’t kill me.”
https://www.jacksonville.com/article/20100826/SPORTS/801245813
His profession:
“Tiger Woods, admitting for the first time that he had been unfaithful to his wife, announced “an indefinite break from professional golf” on Friday, sending ripples of alarm through television networks, corporate sponsors, PGA executives and the rest of a multi-million-dollar industry that has been built around one of the world’s most bankable athletes.”
And the God statement is obvious.
“...”...some racism in them right from the start...”
No, it is learned. And he had it early:
“Woods was a 14-year-old prodigy when an interviewer asked him about his goals as a golfer. Woods answered that he wanted to be a superstar. “Since I’m black, I might even be bigger than Jack Nicklaus,” he said. “I might be even bigger than him, to the blacks. I might be sort of like a Michael Jordan in basketball.”
Asked whether there was a tournament that he wanted to win once he turned professional, Woods did not hesitate. “The Masters,” he said.
“The way blacks have been treated there. [Like] they shouldn’t be there,” he said. “If I win that tournament, it will be really big for us.

So when did it change. It certainly was there when he purposely destroyed Zoeller for nothing.
Trying to compare two people at fault under the needs is a mistake. James is open about his racism as he doesn’t care if someone dislikes him. He’s made his money and uses the situation to make more. He’s a thug.
Woods represents a profession that impresses those with the honesty and integrity of the game. His personal situation has bled over into that and harmed the sport. He’s one of two in that sport I feel are sleazes and are an embarrassment to good men in it. They aren’t a joke, they are real and trash.
