No, but they have learned it’s easier to play the system, or sell drugs and steal to get what they want and pays what they won’t do the hard work to achieve otherwise. A lot say ‘it takes too long’ and they want what they believe they’re simply entitled to now.

Was it Speke who bought a Blonde Circassion slave in order to save her from the muslims and he ended up wedding her? I recall that from a book I once read about him and Burton.

I got a good laugh out of ROOTS right at the start, when white men captured slaves in the jungle.

Europeans who entered sub-saharan Africa quickly succumbed to malaria or a host of other diseases, in fact blacks from the US who first settled in Liberia died off from these diseases having lost their immunity after their time in America.

As elsewhere in Africa slavers in the Gambia region bought slaves from muslim african slavers in river ports, rather than risk death from jungle diseases.
