Is the university trying to say black people can’t read or write music? Isn’t that in itself racist?
That’s strange. The article says the man was not arrested and the caption says he was. The newspaper contradicts itself. They need better editorial control.
They gonna replace sheet music with maybe cuneiform on clay tablets?? How asinine!

Auditory musicians learn by hearing.
Visual musicians learn by seeing (sheet music).
Teaching the piano or conducting orchestras could cause “students of colour great distress.”

Hey! That baton is white. And it demands obedience.
Meanwhile sheet music, with time signatures requires counting.

I think everyone is missing the point here. The goal is to make college free, right? Well, how are you going to do that if you are trying to provide something of value?
Also playing music in a certain key denotes that locks are involved.
I don't know how sharps and flats are racist, but I'm sure they are.

For most of his life he was unable to hear the details of most instruments. In his letters he talked about not being able to hear flutes or people singing—sounds that others heard.
For much of his life, he laid his head on the piano while composing, because that was the only way he could hear anything at all. The vibrations from the piano against this side of his head was his auditory experience.
Beethoven wrote his 9th symphony after he went completely deaf—COMPLETELY DEAF.

But what the heck, let’s cancel all he accomplished despite adversity, because he’s a dead white guy.
Classical musicians use both.

There might be certain musical patterns that need to be banned. Perhaps all classical music since - well, you know.
Instead of being shocked, let's encourage them to go all the way...no more dabbling or half-way measures.
Oxford should get rid of EVERYTHING created by Whites...all White music, all math and sciences, all languages except African, gay, and trans.
Let's get this thing DONE.
And no more NHS except for non-White physicians/nurses and that medicine invented/discovered/developed by non-Whites.
I once thought of Oxford University as being one of the top Universities in the United States. Seeing some of the garbage coming out of Oxford recently, I have changed my mind.
