In 1932 the Nazis forced all gun owners to license their firearms and in 1938 the Nazis confiscated all firearms. If you did not surrender your weapons, you were summarily shot and shortly there after Crystal Nacht was executed by the Nazis in 1938. What was to stop the Nazis? They had all the firearms and the civilians still had their licenses but no guns......
