I was trying to figure out why they were targeting a Wegman’s. I finally got my answer later in the article.

*** Wegmans is a large business in Monroe County,’ Hall said.

‘This is the only Wegmans in the city limits, but it’s not accessible to the city residents. Hopefully, Danny Wegman talks with the Mayor and City Council because this affected him today. We want people to be inconvenienced because Daniel Prude’s family has suffered a great loss.’

Justin Morris, president of the Rochester Chapter of the Arc of Justice, a grassroots organization for social change, told the paper: ‘Wegmans exemplifies what’s wrong in our community.’.

He continued: ‘Wegmans started in the inner-city, in some of our most vulnerable communities, then they got their check and left.

‘There is no reason why Danny Wegman is having so much success, but in the city, we have food deserts.’***

In other words, people are creating havoc at stores that close locations because the owners have experienced too much havoc (and losses) at their previous locations.

"...BLM / Antifa takeover..."

In that scenario the ideal tactic would be to abandon the grocery cart, reach one of the obscure fire exits, get outside, essentially "mix" with the "fellow protestors" then fade back to your vehicle and depart.

Yet another good reason to park in a more remote section of the lot...less likelihood your car will be surrounded by the crazed mob.

‘There is no reason why Danny Wegman is having so much success, but in the city, we have food deserts.’

Sure there is.

He runs the world's best grocery store chain.

The food deserts are the doing of the people who live in the area where the stores vacated.

Nobody is obligated to stay and be robbed blind to provide food or services for a bunch of ingrates who think everything is owed them for free.

Mr. mm has a relative who closed up shop on Buffalo's west side because of theft. And this was many years ago.

It's not a new problem by any means, and it's not about racism. It's about supporting yourself financially and making a living, something the welfare deadbeats just don't understand.

This group should be aware that people are going to see them targeting a grocery store the day after a grocery store was shot up by the 21 year-old Trump hater with the Mercades C class (downtrodden refugee, no. Spoiled little princeling, yes). Nobody is going to give a crap what their reasoning is, no, people are going to see the implied threat to a soft target. That’s going to put most people on the side of the Wegmans.

Its true that a grocery store is full of potential weapons (no justice no peas?!).

Its also full of cameras.

From the standpoint of stores, any sort of civil unrest that makes going to the grocery store a dicey proposition is going to increase businesses for stores with delivery like Wegmans.

Honestly, people may be able to claim kidnapping on a technicality, but good on the Wegman’s staff for locking the doors and keeping the thugs out.

They prevented a lot of injury and damage to the store in doing so, and they did not bow or kowtow to the mob.

They stood up to them because they knew what would happen if the mob should have gotten into the store. They would have destroyed it and hurt the customers.

Fun and messy, I like it!

For more real damage, I’d suggest the canned foods aisle. Getting nailed anywhere with an 8 ounce can of beans would most likely reduce interest in further engagement.

‘There is no reason why Danny Wegman is having so much success, but in the city, we have food deserts.’***

The Black Lives Matter organization has received millions of dollars from corporations, individuals, and public entities over the past year. If there are truly food deserts in this country, there is a huge business opportunity. Why not take some of the donations and use it as seed money to open food stores in the food deserts and staff them with people in the neighborhoods where these food deserts exist? With the profits resulting from these ventures, more stores can be opened in other food desserts. Imagine solving the hunger problem in the inner city while providing real jobs for the community. What better way to show that black lives really matter? These social activists have the resources to show us how it is done. Just do it!

Thing is, Danny really isn’t involved in the day to day ops anymore, his Daughter has been doing that for a few years now. Heck, I don’t even think he even comes into Rochester anymore from what my friends at Corp tell me.

The Black Lives Matter organization is a Marxist communist organization. They are cleverly bullying corporations to give them money, but almost all of it goes into the personal pockets of the founders. It’s not meant to go towards the people they pretend to want to help. It is meant to enrich themselves.

I assume the BLM terrorists were arrested, for this was terrorism.

I'm sure the FBI will be right on that :-)

Wegmans is a wonderful grocery store. They employ many young people who work their way through school. The staff are very helpful. These protesters need to be arrested and prosecuted. Note that this was at the downtown store. Watch out or the residents will lose a store and have fewer choices. They will not like the outcome. Being woke is good way to lose many good options.

Not too lazy. They have a different definition of "accessible." By accessible they mean total lack of inventory control so that shoplifters can rob the place blind.

“It is meant to enrich themselves.”

I’m fully aware of BLM, its philosophy, its shakedown of corporations, and the use of its funds. My real point is conservatives need to start using the Alynsky rules on the left. Push back on the social justice warriors by asking the obvious. Call them out on how they are or are not spending millions of dollars they have available to them. Go into the urban core and speak truth to the people who have been ill served by the community organizers.

Yes, few will listen in the beginning. But a forest fire can start with a spark that ignites a single leaf which then spreads to more leaves and eventually starts a stick burning and then a tree. The problem with the GOP and conservatives is there is no focused and sustained multi-year effort to point out the obvious to the liberal base. Move 15% of the black vote and the electoral dynamics shift dramatically.

Trump understood this need and was beginning to make progress which is one reason the screams about white privilege have been so loud over the last two years. Trump was directing some policy initiatives directly at the black community and blacks were beginning to see improved employment and growing incomes.

Leftists have been extremely successful with the politics of envy. However, it is easy to put them under the microscope with their supporters. BLM and the media have bragged about all the money going to BLM. GOP politicians should be asking “Where’s the money going?”, particularly since it isn’t going to the common people. Show photos of the houses, the cars, the vacations and the bling the powers in the BLM movement are enjoying. Challenge them to spend the money in the actual neighborhoods. Let them feel the heat of having to defend their behavior.

To not challenge is to admit defeat.

Yes, but only the kind that would work close up. If a man has a rifle, you can’t get near enough to him,and he can hit you far away.
