Phil Scott is Vermont’s RINO Governor.. I think he’s up for re-election in 2022 if he decides to seek a fourth term. The vile Senator Leahy’s Seat is also up in 2022.

It’d be interesting if Scott challenged Leahy. Apparently Scott is popular, and there was a poll last year that showed Scott with a small lead over Leahy. As with any poll that far out it was likely meaningless, and I would expect Leahy to prevail. I doubt Scott would challenge him anyway and is more likely to seek a fourth term as governor.

If Leahy retires then I think Scott would have a decent chance in an open seat race, but even then, in a state that far left, Scott could easily lose.

The chance of there being a Republican Senator from Vermont would probably be more likely if Scott kept the governorship and age took Leahy or Sanders, and then Scott replaced them. But in that case a special election must be held within six months of the vacancy, so the R Senator from Vermont would have a short tenure.

Since I don’t care who the governor of Vermont is, I’d rather Scott run for Senate even if it is a long shot. Would he be a good Senator? No, he almost certainly would not be. He’d probably be as insufferable as Romney, but with a worse voting record. In fact, if he ever were in the position Manchin now is, I could even see a Senator Scott pulling a Lincoln Chaffee and switching parties, at least for caucusing.

But if the filibuster survives through 2022, then even a bad Senator Scott would be better than Leahy, and might be key in keeping the Democrats from winning a Manchin-proof majority, notwithstanding the threat he goes Chafee. And it’s not like a conservative can win in Vermont, so better to have a RINO than Leahy or some other equally bad Democrat.

President Trump did not lose.

They cheated and lied...
then corrupted the courts to insure the coup was complete.

if you don’t think so, answer this 3rd grade math problem:

if 160m people register to vote
and 66.8% of those registered turn out to vote
then how many votes did biden get
if President Trump got 74m?
