We stuck the indians in reservations in the worst lands to get them out of our hair. AND yes, we made them attend our reeducation camps (our schools with OUR curriculum).

And probably the Chinese should do the same with the Uyghurs, better yet let them have their own country.

My point was the hypocracy of most freepers when it comes to Muslims in this country. Read some of the past posts that mention Muslims. Most of us don’t want them here (good, bad or indifferent) because their culture is anathema to ours and allowing them to settle here in large number would be a big mistake. And if they do come here we want them to assimilate, ie, be reeducated to accept our culture over theirs.

Yet when China tries to curb the Muslim influence in their own country suddenly we become holier than thou and the Muslim become the good guys!?

It amazes me how quick we are at condemning others for doing what we’ve done or are doing. It shows a total lack of self-awareness. We all should take a look in the mirror before we start showing off our halos.

There is *NO-MUSLIM-INFLUENCE* anywhere ELSE in China. Han Chinese are over 93% of the population and Uighurs are a mere 25 million people ( out of a population of 1.4 Billion ), largely LIMITED to Xin Jiang. You can hardly find Uighurs anywhere else in China.

What Muslim influence are you talking about? THERE IS NONE.

If there is any influence, it is the Han Chinese from the East moving to Xin Jiang and buying up property and setting up factories there.

The most common reason for the re-education camps is because a small minority of Uighurs have been radicalized by terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda. But is that really a reason for incarcerating MILLIONS of them?

Concern over Muslims is not being holier than thou, if we allow this to happen, what other ethnicity is next?

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
