Why not post the whole article?
And if we want to see the videos/photos referred to in the article, we still have to go to it.
If they don’t allow it in San Fran, then people will be traveling outside the city for hardware stores; nobody is going to set up or maintain businesses to lose money - or their lives - catering to the ferals.
If you make them order through a window, they will simply take dump on the window
If they make the business untenable, then the Asian and Hispanic merchant class we’ve imported to sell things there/gather the tax dollars back will stop doing business there - and they’ll decline from “food deserts” to “fast food/convenience/bodega and liquor store deserts” as well.
Residents of nearby cities have to shop in my town because many types of businesses won’t operate there anymore.
Posters here have been wailing about the people of SFO suffering so much bc of these policies of Chesa Boudin and in LA, Gascon. Well, these are the same woe is me types who voted Boudin and Gascon into office by a majority; they knew exactly what they were, what they stood for, and the policies they would implement. So, if you in the minority that voted against them and you can’t access products, I feel sorry for you; if you voted for them, even if you have buyer’s remorse, that is your tough luck and enjoy what you brought on to your city.
You mean making it legal to steal $900 from stores did not solve the crime problem or entice more businesses to come in?
Who could have predicted that?
Most people don't want to accept that there are whole industries that profit from crime. Even before French economist Frédéric Bastiat said in his 1850 that paying someone to break windows of businesses would benefit the glass replacer (screw the victims of course).
There are industries complete with consultants, "educators", legal representatives, government bodies, budgets, land, buildings, transfers of wealth, etc. that exist for the sole reason of screwing you and I.
-The Grievance Industry; especially those in it that Booker T. Washington warned about.
-The Mental Illness Industry; complete with drug hormone pushers, butchering surgeons, and "child rights" lawyers.
-The Divorce Industry; lawyers, judges, and accountants, all overseeing the government's role in screwing with the private affairs of individuals.
-The Crime Industry; from "advocates", lawyers, judges, prison systems (both government run and private), prison healthcare, food services, etc. and that's just from the criminal's side and shows why they're so determined to violate the Second Amendment. There's also the industry from the victims' side; alarm systems, anti-theft tracking, personal protection, etc.
-The Homeless Industry; who would have thought that a report would ever see the light of day that San Francisco was forcing taxpayers to fund tents at a rate higher than apartments?
-The Mis-Education Industry; there is a slew of lawyers, politicians, "educators", administrators, who work on raping the taxpayer to spread disinformation and bury the truth.
Belittle any of them if you want but The Community Organizer Industry sent one of their frauds, Barack Hussein Obama / Barry Soetero, to the White Hut not once but twice.
That's an incorrect stereotype of SF. Gays are only in a couple neighborhoods. As for the thefts in this article, they're all committed by blacks. My brother-in-law worked for decades in an SF Walgreens store. Every day he was in fear of black shoplifters, who would verbally assault him if he even looked at them. He did get punched in the face. Management would not help the employees at all. It got so bad that he finally retired in mid-2020, despite wanting to work for a few more years. Blacks make up 5 percent of the population in SF, but a majority of the crimes are committed by them. Sure, latinos do crime like car theft and robberies, but not the petty theft like blacks are doing. Other than a couple neighborhoods of gays, and a couple of neighborhoods of blacks, the other dozen or so neighborhoods have families who are somewhat normal (although leaning Democrat which is annoying).
The only thing in Los Angeles growing faster than crime is For Lease and Space Available signs.
America......it’s what the Dems want. Best part is, those very same folks that work and go to those stores have been conditioned that that is what life is supposed to be like. By people like their former Mayor, who may or may not have actually lived there. All the while people like Booker and the rest live far, far removed from the slums they created.
The last President was helping those folks. They’re all about to take about 10 steps back
Will it matter?
The liberal elites in that city voted for him, knowing that the chances of them being effected by the crime is low. They have their secure, guarded high rises. They can afford security. They pay enough in taxes that the liberal city government will make sure they’re taken care of.
And he’s hand picked by the money man, Soros.
Oh, who knows.
Doing nothing won’t matter!
It is perhaps a small step in the right direction. Sends a message maybe.
Very true
President Trump (the president-in-exile) helped many, but nothing was going to turn around the fortunes of those people in NJ or neighboring NY - unless they left. The Dem machine is too deeply entrenched here, and too tied to the teachers’ unions, to ever let blacks free from that scam. Churning out unemployable graduates lifts nobody, only the coffers of Dem candidates and their cadre of public school teachers.
You nailed it. I’m thinking if the President had held onto the Oval Office he would have wreaked hacks on everything you mentioned. Hence one of the reasons he’s n exile.
...That’s an incorrect stereotype of SF.... Not if cheap humor is your goal!
My parents smelled the coming stench early and moved us out of the bay area to the hills of Pa. in 68’
You're forgiven, everyone loves cheap humor! I've got family in Philly, where my father grew up. It's shocking to visit other areas of the country, and come away with perceptions that may be unfair if you had limited contact with a small segment. What shocked me about Philadelphia is the separation of whites and blacks there. Mostly all white, and other areas all black. San Francisco is cosmopolitan with a mix of races throughout. One time I got lost in the ghettos of Philadelphia and was scared at how it went on for miles, all run down and black. The worst areas of SF look pleasant compared to the filth of Philly. Yet people stereotype SF as being bad. I know, the hills of Pa. away from Philly are nice.
