A three name “Karen”
I don’t believe an anesthesiologist would put their career on the line for some BS like this. This is a “victim” seeking to score.
“That was an incredibly stupid thing to do.”
It is incredibly stupid to initiate any sort of confrontation with anyone. I carry concealed. Even when people shout and shoot the finger over something I unintentionally did while driving, I smile and try to deescalate if possible. I am not going to let someone hurt me and I definitely do not want to shoot someone.
Besides not wanting to shoot anyone, I refuse to let someone else cause my blood pressure to go up. If you get mad back at someone it ends in nothing good for you even if you “win.” (Whatever “win” means in this context.)
Did he forget he was in the US?
Double stupid when you are an MD, and could lose employment that you payed a lot of money in schooling to obtain.
Yep. One of two scenarios are possible:
1.) The alleged victim made it up or exaggerated it.
2.) This woman is mentally ill.
I WANT my anesthesiologists (and surgeons) to be arrogant.
I’ve only gotten “into it” one time over masks. I was on a flight and a couple one seat up on the other side really, REALLY wanted me to wear a mask and were really getting in my face about it, so I put on my “shreded” medical mask (the style everyone hands out for free) and then they looked back at me and complained that it had holes in it. I said to the man, “thanks, Karen” and put on my single layer “tighty whitey” mask. (I cut out two of the three layers).
The guy got all hot but didn’t do anything. They did report me to the flight attendant and while he was telling me, as I’m wearing a mask, that I need to wear a mask and I said I would honor the airline’s rules. This is because just as he was saying this, the pilot said we must wear masks unless eating or drinking. ;)
So, I had brought a really big bag of Costco peanuts with me and pretty much nibbled on them the whole flight. The couple kept looking back at me and frowning.
I prayed about my anger and, about 30 minutes into the flight, was compelled to go to the man and apologize for calling him a Karen and told him my anger got the best of me. At which point his wife went off on why I need to be wearing a mask at all times and condemning me for my attitude. I just smiled and went back to my seat.
And continued snacking on peanuts. :)
Correction:
One of two scenarios is
I was in a Publix when a manager came and chided me for walking the “wrong way” down a one way shopping lane. It was my first trip to Publix and my last. I’m not going to walk the length of 2 aisles to grab an item 10 feet away from me.
The Chicago false flag guy.
This reminds me of my reasoning for why I believe Trayvon Martin started the fight: Two guys confront each other. One is active in a “fight club”. The other is a pudgy guy wearing a concealed hand gun. Who throws the first punch?
Hint, not the guy with the gun.
Agreed completely. If one is going to carry (and I do) I believe one has additional responsibility to avoid, de escalate and withdraw from any potential confrontation. In situations where I would be justified in standing my ground and arguing back when I am unarmed, I just walk away without saying anything if I am armed. I want to avoid adding to any situation which could escalate to the point where I have to use a gun. Too many people stoke the fire in such situations where they feel they are in the right and invincible because they are remedy.
I shopped that Publix 55 years ago when I lived in Miami Springs.
Remedy = armed (darn auto-correct)
I’m sure the doc was holding a noose and screaming “This is MAGA country!”
Being armed is the remedy.
But never use it except as a last resort and then only if life is endangered.
Surprised no one started up about peanut allergy hazards.
The “serial killer” of Karens.
