They were only trying to get to someplace warm.
Fox New just ended HOURS of non-stop coverage!
The green new deal will put an end to those plane trips to Hawaii.
Must have been exciting to their viewers. All ten of them.
That kind of thing happened to a woman whose house roof suddenly had a loud smashing sound and something like a bowling ball sized yellowy rock went through into her kitchen sink. It turned out to be icy urine from the discharge from a jet airliner toilet, frozen from cold temperatures.
The warmth was brought to them.

DEBUNKED!
1. Airplanes use a blue sanitizer
2. Airline tracks verify no airliners over house at that time.
I spent almost 21 years in Boeing Experimental Flight test.
The 777 is probably the best aircraft ever built.
It can take off on a full fuel load with passengers, on just one engine.
You all watched as Sum ting wong, We too lo, and Holy fuk crashed a 777 at SFO. All the passengers walked away with carry on, the dead were run over by fire trucks.
At least at my time in Boeing Safety was #1. Looks to me like every thing worked as designed in the event of a “Black Swan” failure.
Why do you think these machines cost a third of a billion dollars?
Parts fell 4 miles west of our house.
Yep, I think the 777 was the first twin jet rated for over ocean/intercontinental flight? (retired/inactive A&P mech here).
ATC audio recording of the incident...the “action” starts at about 08:35 into it:

Story was debunked. Thanks.
This Google search has several more....
toilet discharge from airplane hits house
includes ——closed system does not permit purposeful discharge, and mentions blue color.
But this is a good one on the old versus new methods that mean there used to be such bombing of the ground below....
How Airplane Toilets (Mostly) Stopped Dropping Frozen Sewage From the Sky

Yes but the engines are manufactured seperately by another manufacturer, and in the 777’s case the GE90’s are reliable workhorses from GE. It’s likely the likely the result of poor maintenance. The logs will tell.
I don’t fly, but if I had to it would only be on a 777. The safety profile of that airplane is beyond impressive.
Note: how the Kevlar wrapped around the compressor section is doing its job keeping the parts intact. (they had not failed)
The failure seems to be all of the outer shell of the engine. The fire is where it should be...no big deal. Happy to hear that all ended well.
Pretty freaky, considering your screen name!
Way too close for comfort..
Boeing 777-200. All of that and still landed. Impressive.
Not to worry it was maintained by a crack crew of diverse workers with little or no experience, because they didn’t need experience as one of the prerequisites for the job just the right color ethnicity or gender.
“It will fly if Allah wills it to fly.”
