That's me...I cannot see how there can be any meaningful discussion as to forming a new party, without first establishing who will be in that party's leadership. And, at present, I can't conceive of a viable conservative party without Trump's involvement. He has the base, the fire and the brains to make it possible...Who else does?
I've been registered NPA for decades, courtesy of G.H.W. Bush; and I would now join a party lead by Trump.
That’s not the way it works. The grassroots Republican Parties in most counties, especially in my region, are already strong Trump supporters. They already have the organization in place with ground game to get out the vote. And they did a great job leading up to November 3rd. Almost 75 million votes is a job well done. (Georgia is another story) I trust Donald Trump and I believe his plan is to take control of the existing state organizations; which is for the most part, are already his.
Right now we have a short time to prepare to take back the House and Senate and considering a third party at this time will only dilute the vote and the Dems will continue what they are now doing. We need a veto-proof majority in both houses and to that goal we should all be working. (625thFAB)
I’ve thought about that too.
Better yet...all Trump-voters should join the democrat party and destroy them.
Short term maybe. We can roll out a third party in states that can control the GOP in DC. Southern and Midwest current republicans can run both as republicans endorsed by MAGA or MAGA endorsed by state GOP.
Just a thought. All my representatives are pro MAGA and conservative Republicans. The week link was Sen Shelby (he is establishment but knew what to do) is out in 2022. So a good opportunity for a MAGA / Alabama Republican to take the reigns.
You just don’t seem to get it; it’s not Trump, it’s what he represented to the common CONSERVATIVE VOTER.
The REPUGLICRATS no longer represent us and haven’t in over 40 years.
The Democrats no longer represent the rank and file of their voters either, a lot of Democrats have noticed this.
I’ve been voting a straight REPUGLICRAT ticket for over 50 years, REAGAN and TRUMP were the only candidates that I never had to hold my nose to vote for.
You ASSUME that a solid CONSERVATIVE block would be easy to beat, what do you base that assumption on?
Even a lot of Democrats are tired of where their party has gone (ever hear of the walkaway movement), just perhaps, they are also ready for a change.
Not everything is about Trump, most of it’s about the ideas and policies he tried to put in place, that Democrats AND REPUGLICRATS did everything in their power to prevent.
A LOT of people are just plain TIRED OF BUSINESS AS USUAL!
The two party system has morphed into a UniParty who’s only concern is perpetuating foreign wars and enriching their own pockets.
And we put candidates in the Dem primaries, too. If we could get 40-50 America First congressman to form a ‘bi-partisan’ coalition similar to the gang of 8, changes in congress could be made.
You are correct. But, apparently for the zealots, we’re the people who “don’t understand”.
There is no time for this stuff. They are closing in and becoming full communist. It is scary, and I MEAN that.
