A syndicated radio show in his future?
Might be a way around a non-compete clause if he has one in his contract.
I’d listen.
God bless you, Lou Dobbs. You’re a good egg.
Another reason to never watch either FOX channel.
Maybe Tucker, but that’s it. And even he dutifully follows orders from his boss Paul Ryan, and won’t touch election fraud.
What a no-class back-stab to a #1 show and long-time employee, to fire him after a Friday show where he had a fill-in host. No goodbye, nada. Just “un-personed.”
I hope Carlson takes note and quits, but he won’t.
The way they fired him, with no send-off, I’d say the hell with the no-compete clause, and go on OANN as a guest or as a host, even for no pay.
Just to get the real inside story of Fox’s treachery on the record, from election night on.
If Dobbs is party to an NDA of some sort that ain’t gonna happen.
FWIW, I doubt Dobbs was let in on the whys of what happened to News Corp, FNC, and FBN. He likely has his suspicions, but I can’t believe anyone who knew anything talked to him.
People get to a certain age and point in their life where stuff that matters to a 40-year-old anchor just doesn’t matter a damn.
“Oh, you’re going to threaten to sue me? Bring it on.”
He’s financially secure, doesn’t need to work another day in his life. He’s not scouting for his next gig.
I’ll bet he’s burning to tell the inside story of FOX’s treachery from election eve on.
Bartiromo, Payne, and Varney are next. Ratings aren’t a factor here, and never were.
Plenty of fascist corporations who’ll contract with them to buy time.
I’ll bet he’s burning, too.
And if he does have info to spill, and decides to damn the torpedoes and do it, I’ll donate to his defense fund. Because you can bet they’ll be going after far more than he’s worth. Far, far more.
I disagree 100%.
That FOX building is a roiling Peyton Place of secret alliances, secret backstabbers, etc. The “on-air” personalities we see are only about 1% of the employees.
There are long-time personnel who float like ghosts from dept to dept on admin or technical jobs, who all have ears and eyes, and who share all the secrets they learn with their allies.
And Dobbs is no naïve newbie. He’s been around the block a hundred times, and has the scars and more long-term deep insight than almost anybody.
Non-compete clause in a contract is not the same as an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Please mail your law degree back to whatever Caribbean island “university” from where you ordered it.
I’ll wager that Dobbs has untouchable assets spread around the globe so that no lawsuit could ever wipe him out.
I’m rooting for him to launch a “truth campaign” against Paul Ryan and the globalist back stabbers.
Travis, why do you think we never got the skinny on the break up of News Corp?
Because the people who know won’t talk.
Who claimed to be a trained shyster?
Get over yourself.
They were tired of his BS. Funny
We’ll see. Dobbs is at the “don’t give a damn” stage of life.
Dobbs could be party to both.
“Might be a way around a non-compete clause if he has one in his contract”
Often that clause comes with a monetary settlement in the termination terms. It’s possible if Lou doesn’t take the money he will be a free agent of sorts right away.
BTW, I know people who have both in their employment contracts.
Last time I remember Dobb’s contract being renewed was back in 2010 for a multi-year gig.
If that’s still in force, he might stand a chance.
If it’s been renewed since the break-up, he either had to be very careful or he’s screwed.
