I'm done with them. I'm 73, and have no problem not ever voting again. What's the sense in voting Republican, when the party as a whole doesn't respect you or your vote enough to ensure your vote is secure, takes you for granted, and stabs you in the back every chance they get. To keep going back for more is insanity, you know that same definition we like to attribute to the Democrats...doing the same thing over, and over, and expecting a different result. Well, it's no difference with continuing to vote for the Republicans, and expecting things to change. They never do.

I am 65 it is hard to convince the younger generation that the GOP is not reformable they haven’t lived it for decades the way we have!! They will have to learn on their own!! I will say though that our generation IS DONE with the GOP so if nothing else the GOP has lost 2/3 of its base!! There is NO WAY IN HELL our generation will ever cast a vote GOP again!!!

How many freaking years have we on this site said the GOP needs to be cleaned out, and for the past 20+ years, nothing has been done. How can you reform a party that hates your guts, and voted to legitimize unlimited voter fraud, in order to get rid of you? Anyone who thinks that the GOP can be reformed is delusional. I've been a registered Republican for 35+ years, and the party has gotten worse as time has gone on. This isn't la la land. This is the GOP who colluded with the Democrats to get rid of the best President this country has ever seen. And you actually think that with all the corruption in Washington, D.C., that you, me, or even Donald Trump is going to transform that corruption? I might not even be around in four years, and it will take a hell of a lot longer than that to make even a small change, if that's even possible. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. You got that right. If President Trump wanted to form a Conservative party, then I would follow him, but I won't support any attempt to reform the GOP. There is nothing redeemable about it.
