Maybe but I think it's a move to take Feinstein's seat and I'm pretty sure for one reason or another that she won't make it to 2024.
The Democrats want her out of there. She's no longer useful to them.

(2) Newsome appoints him Atty General.
(3) Newsome gets recalled
(4) New governor comes in.
(5) New guv brings in new AG. Schiff out of a job.
(6) Whole world is happy... Schiff is gone from politics. Party begins...
