Yep. Plus the idea of a “secret vote” to shelter the MAGA backstabbers.

Keep your cool. Steve Bannon is a big Trump ally and thinks the trial will be a great venue to showcase all the election irregularities and fraud that the media wants to pretend doesn’t exist.

I don’t see Kansas Senator Jerry Moran. He is up for reelection in 2022 I would assume if he does not support this issue he will have a tough time getting reelected in 2022. Currently there are no announced challengers but it would not surprise me to see former governor Jeff Colyer whore Secretary of State Mike Pompeo challenge Jerry Moran

He was just reelected so he can do whatever he wants for six years. Which is a shame as if he turns into a Benedict Arnold he will destroy the republican party

Any Republican senator who voted to convict Trump will not be able to walk down the street.

The list isn’t final. We only need 5 more to join the list. They will.

We all know Congress can’t legally or constitutionally do this as Trump is now a private citizen. However, we no longer live in a constitutional republic. The Dems can do anything they want and get away with it.

The list isn’t final. It’s not even a list, it’s a compilation of various statements made in the media.

Concur - what a pair of empty suits.

Both are in the pocket of big business.

Gave up writing to Burr a couple of years after he was first elected. His answers were always squishy.

Correct. There are always going to be a few holdouts who want to grandstand and/or be bought off.

If you really think the Senate is going to convict go put 850.00 on 67 or more here.

https://www.predictit.org/markets/detail/7054/How-many-Senators-will-vote-to-convict-Donald-Trump-on-incitement-by-Apr-29

You will win 7650.00

We all know you won’t do it because even the Sooners here don’t actually believe the Senate will convict. Otherwise, it’s an easy bet to take.

Roberts hasn’t told Pelosi/Schumer they don’t have standing?

"The trial is fine, since it gives Trump the chance to finally make his case (in fact, it's the only way to even publicly discuss voter fraud, since our new masters took over. The only real question is whether 17 of the 21 remaining Republicans will choose to vote themselves out of a job."

The Senate rules are whatever the majority says they are. Having gone this far, the Marxist Dems are not about to give Trump and his lawyers an extended forum to present their case. There will be no discovery. The case will be sharply limited and chopped up to make it incoherent to any who watch it. It will be short and the vote will quickly follow with Leaky Leahy presiding. All of this IMO of course.

“Chief Justice Roberts says he will not preside over this “trial,” and the Constitution says the CJ “shall” preside over the Senate trial. “Shall” legally means CJ presiding is not optional, it’s mandatory.”

The CJ presides over the impeachment trial of a President. The Senate is attempting to try a private citizen, Donald J Trump. (I believe the point of having the CJ preside over Presidential impeachment’s is to avoid the obvious conflict of interest that would occur if the President of the Senate (the VP) were to preside).

I feel left out of this sham impeachment of private citizens.

How much would it cost me to get impeached? I want to go to Washington D.C., plead "Deplorable", get impeached, and get the T-shirt. Maybe I could get a ribbon for it and add it to my military records.

If you can fraudulently impeach citizens AFTER they're in office, why not impeach candidates BEFORE they're in office?

The Republican Senate will NOT vote to convict Trump.

There will be a few assholes. Not enough to convict him.

If they were smart(HA HA!) they would use any opportunity to speak to launch attacks on Joe Biden and Democrat policies.
