Yep, won’t be long until Taiwan is gone. They know they can do it now. Fake president will simply send a strongly worded letter and do something meaningless with a diplomat and it will all be over.
They have no way to oppose a Chinese naval/air blockade.
That will bring Taiwan to the negotiating table very quickly, unless the US gestures very powerfully that its got Taiwans back.
This is a move the Chinese can easily do, and walk back from unharmed if the US does something about it. But if the US does not, then the Taiwanese have no option but to surrender sovereignty, under some figleaf most likely.
No invasion needed.

On the first day of the war, China sends one million soldiers into Taiwan and they all get killed. They send one million more on day two and they all get killed. On day three they send one million and they all get killed. On the fourth day China wins the war.
