There were many hearings pre-inauguration; much of Trump's cabinet was confirmed on inauguration day.

IIRC, I had to answer many questions similar to this one in 1963 when I was applying for the USN Aviation Officer Candidate Program.

Surely these types of questions are still required to be answered if one seeks employment with the US Government?

It is, by the way, a damn shame that CongressCritters don’t have to pass a FBI security check before they get to run for office! FBI sent people out to talk to my FRiends, neighbors and relatives before I got my security clearance!

USA could have been spared a LOT OF GRIEF over the years if that were the case!
