Balkanization was the natural result of trying to force such varied people to live under one flag; the USSR had the same problem, for the same reason. The US is practically homogenous in comparison (and we’re not homogenous at all).
The Left Coast already has an inkblot strategy of balkanization. Detroit is another dangerous stronghold.

With La Raza and Reconqista the Left wants to overwhelm Texas, Arizona, and elsewhere. And import Arab Spring refugees. Obama loves that.
