For Dems, the short term satisfaction of hating Trump wins over long term fulfillment of uniting the country. Some don’t even want to call America their country until certain issues have been “fixed”.

The author, and most posters, here, are trying to project their “Mr. Rogers” interpretation of “Unity” onto the Left.
Unity. One Party. One Rule. All, easily fueled by Hate.
Screw all that! We leftists want a civil war - because muh side won!

The only way Democrats are going to unite with me is if they leave the Democratic Party and think 99.98% like me. I will not compromise. Ever.
Before Fort Sumpter people tried this in the other Civil War. People are not willing to unite unless were are attacked by a foreign power. Even then, if China attacked, many Democrats would put on the Chinese Uniform and fight to end Racist America. BUT If this keeps up, and states Rights are attacked—We could see a re-enactment of 1861. This time with Nukes! Such a Civil War could devolve into a world war with nations picking sides. We are at a point where the people are about to explode—The Lockdowns, loss of Freedoms, and escalading violence can only end with a shattered nation. Much to the glee of our enemies. We can not be defeated—save by ourselves.

Why is it the losing side who always talks about 'uniting the country' after an election? Biden and the Democrats are nor more capable of and no more interested in uniting the country than Trump and the Republicans were.
