Yesterday's shameful events stem from complex issues, including the accelerating violation of norms, racism, and growing distrust in institutions

No, those events stemmed from having an election stolen in plain sight, and no one addressing the rightful grievances of those whose votes were stolen.

We are resolute in our efforts to develop solutions to society's most complex challenges by starting with facts and rigorous analysis.

Mr. Rich could start by doing some rigorous analysis of the Mr. Biden's statistically impossible election result.

Hmm...the last time that I got briefed on a RAND study (3-4 years ago), I was ready to throw spitwads at the briefer. While much of it was good stuff, some of the assumptions of the study were complete crap.

Erosion of institutional credibility is one of the chief causes of Donald J. Trump's victory in 2016. The stolen election of 2020 won't help restore it.

I don't trust the FBI nor the DoJ. I don't trust the courts. I don't trust major media outlets. I don't trust Big Tech. I don't trust public health officials. I don't trust the AMA. I don't trust the leadership of the United Methodist Church above my local congregation. I don't trust our professional sports leagues. I think that standards of honor and conduct have been undermined at West Point (my alma mater) in the interest of "Diversity."

I don't know how RAND is going to fix all of that.
